SMTHG Inc., a Delaware corporation (“SMTHG”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on smthg.us, including its pages such as smthg.us/for-designers (the “Website”). This Cookie Policy explains which technologies we use, why, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
This Policy applies to the Website only. It does not apply to SMTHG shops hosted on subdomains (for example, manifest.smthg.us) or on other domains, or to the SMTHG community hosted on Circle. Those services display their own cookie and privacy information.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They can be set by us (“first-party cookies”) or by a service provider we use (“third-party cookies”).
We also use similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, which store information on your device in a similar way. In this Policy, “cookies” includes these technologies.
2. Categories we use
We use two categories of cookies:
Strictly Necessary. Required to provide the Website and to remember your cookie choices. Always active.
Analytics. Optional. Help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. Only used if you consent.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies for preferences or personalisation. If our cookie banner displays “Preferences” or “Marketing” categories, no cookies are currently set under them.
3. Strictly Necessary cookies
These cookies are essential to operate the Website and to save the choice you make in our cookie banner. They may also help protect the Website against abuse and support its technical delivery.
You can block them in your browser settings, but parts of the Website may then not work correctly, and we will not be able to remember your cookie choice.

When analytics cookies are set. Wherever you are located, we do not set or read analytics cookies until you select Accept in our cookie banner or turn on the Analytics category in Cookie Settings. If you select Reject or make no choice, analytics cookies are not set.
Google Consent Mode. We use Google Consent Mode to pass your choice to Google. Until you consent, Google Analytics cookies are not set or read. Depending on our configuration, Google may receive limited signals that do not use analytics cookies (for example, that a page was loaded and your consent status).
How we configure Google Analytics. We do not enable Google Signals and we do not link Google Analytics to Google advertising products. We do not use Google Analytics data for advertising.
PostHog. If we enable PostHog, it will run only after you consent to analytics cookies. We will not enable session recording or similar features without first updating this Policy.
Refusing analytics cookies does not affect your access to the Website.
Cookieless site statistics
Our hosting provider, Framer, provides basic site statistics (such as page views and referrers). This service does not place cookies or similar technologies on your device, so it runs without cookie consent. Information it processes is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Managing your choices
When you first visit the Website, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings on the Website. Changes apply from that point onward.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Strictly Necessary cookies may affect how the Website works.
7. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that changes, we will treat a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of that activity.
The Website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common industry standard for them. You can control analytics cookies through Cookie Settings as described above.
8. Third-party providers
Google and PostHog process information collected through their cookies on our behalf, and Framer hosts the Website and runs our cookie banner. Their processing is also described in their own privacy notices:

9. Changes to this Policy
We will update this Policy when our use of cookies changes, post the new version here, and revise the effective date. If a change requires new consent, we will ask for it before setting the affected cookies.
